Mario Cimoli is Director of the Division of Production, Productivity and Management and Officer in charge of the Division of International Trade and Integration at the UN’s Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and Professor of Economics at the University of Venice (Ca’ Foscari).
In 2004, he was appointed co-director of two task forces: Industrial Policy and Intellectual Property Rights Regimes for Development (Initiative for Policy Dialogue, Columbia University, New York). He was also awarded the Philip Morris Chair of International Business (2004) at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, University of Pisa.
He gives speeches, writes and publishes books and articles on economic issues on industrial policy, science, technology and innovation.
