François Nuyts is Country Manager of Amazon Spain and Amazon Italy. He has led the Amazon.es online retail business since its launch in Spain in September 2011 increasing the selection available for customers to over 57 million products throughout 21 different categories ranging from books, electronics and videogames to sports, baby, toys, kitchen or shoes among others.
A French national, he started his professional career working in Latin America for Leo Burnett and Kellogg’s to then move to the UK to work as strategy consultant based out of London within Accenture.
François joined Amazon in 2005 as the executive leading the Entertainment and Media categories for Amazon.fr, Amazon’s French portal.
During his career he has acquired a solid international experience in both the corporate and non-profit arenas. In partnership with VSO (Volunteer Service Oversa) and the Mayor of Lisakovsk, small town in Kazakhstan, François worked to improve economic and social conditions in the city. He also worked in Slovakia where, teaming up with a local charity, created a mass-market retail access service for female micro-business owners.
François Nuyts holds a degree in International Business and Corporate Finance from the E.S.L.S.C.A. Business School (Paris) and has an MBA from the Babson Graduate School of Business (Boston). He is bilingual in French and English and speaks fluent Spanish.
